The Eigertour 2020 race was a great success, fighting the last 2 days between 3rd and 4th I was happy with final ranking of 4th. This was the tick box moment, lets give it a go. So I filled in my application and sent it off. There is a two month period between July 1 and August 31 where you can apply for X-Alps21 and the anouncement is reaveled on 14th October 2020. ...
My first challenge: Eigertour 2020. This will be a chance to race against some of the best pilots in the Alps and to see where I stand between the top boys. This race would determin if I apply for the XAlps. If I am Top 10 in the Pro category then the answer is yes! The Eiger tour is a four-day race where you must hike or fly a route that includes tagging (landing and taking a picture at 18 of the designated huts on the corse line). ...
This race has been a dream of mine for some time. Competing in the world’s hardest adventure race was simply nothing but a dream. However, I do like the process on making dreams a reality....
Every 2 years thousands of applicants apply for the X-Alps race but only 33 athlets from around the globe get selected. Let’ss see if I can make it in this year :)...
So the application phase is here to what’s known as the hardest adventure race in the world “The Red Bull XAlps”. The race consists of flying or hiking over 1000k through the Alps as the only form of transport. The race starts in Salzburg/Austria then travels through several turn points (countries) zigzagging through the Alps and ending at the sea in Monaco....
